June 2004 – Steve Greenblatt joins the Infocomm International Independent Programmers Council.
Control Concepts Inc. announced they have joined the Infocomm Independent Programmers Council to support the council's efforts in creating an open dialog between programmers, consultants, manufacturers, and system integrators. This industry group will contribute to joint solutions that will enable the industry to establish a wide range of “best practices” to improve product quality delivered to the User community.

The Independent Programmers Council have identified the need to manage protocols, establish programming guidelines, and educate the industry. Audiovisual professionals can use these guidelines in order to provide the appropriate integrated solution by aiding with system design and even specifying particular pieces of equipment. “Programming is playing a larger role in integrated systems these days and it is critical that the Independent Programmers Community has a voice in the industry”, comments Steve Greenblatt, “Control Concepts seeks to demonstrate our commitment to the industry and contribute to the association initiatives with our involvement in the council.

Control Concepts is one of many council members that face the same technological and business challenges. By providing a forum for independent programmers to unite, Infocomm has inspired the creation of many council initiatives that have a positive impact on the way projects and system designs are approached and the way that business is handled in the industry. The resulting “best practices” help to reduce the system design inconsistencies - which also reduces design and development costs.
