Control Concepts, Inc. is an independent control system programming company that combines automation, data communications, and audiovisual science to make technology easy to use in boardrooms, classrooms, and entertainment venues. Established in 1997 based on the principles of quality and customer relations, Control Concepts is dedicated to servicing consultants, integrators, technology managers, and presenters throughout the Northeast US and the world.
Control Concepts, Inc. was born from desire to provide the highest quality control system programming possible and it is the support of many that has made Control Concepts a success. Control Concepts was founded by Steve Greenblatt in 1997 at a time when independent programming companies were virtually non-existent and control system programming was not as complex and vital as it is today. With very few resources available for specialty programming and related services, Control Concepts was created to provide a custom programming service that clients could not receive anywhere else.
The beginning of Control Concepts was a humble one. Steve started the company on his own in a small office in Norwood, NJ with only part-time assistance from his family and close friends. As the existence of Control Concepts became known and its reputation grew, the client list and number of projects increased. By 2000, project quantity and responsibilities warranted the need for additional staff and a larger office. Now Control Concepts has a staff of programmers, a dedicated project coordinator, graphic design resources, and an office administrator that share ideas, contribute to teaching and research, and provide a wide range of custom products and services to satisfy the needs of the audiovisual industry. Control Concepts’ continued reliance on the virtues and beliefs on which it was originally built is evident by the commitment of its staff.
One of Control Concepts’ most visible qualities is its devotion to interface design which is based on human factors research. Applying the science of usability was a leading-edge innovation in the early years of independent control system programming, and it was a large part of Steve’s vision for the company.

By establishing detailed processes of project management and a dedication to standards and consistency, Control Concepts combines a high end product with superior customer service to obtain complete customer satisfaction.
