About

Steve Greenblatt, President

As one of the pioneers in the independent programming industry, our founder and President Steve Greenblatt has built his career and the company with hard work, dedication, respect, quality, and reputation. His focus on these virtues has contributed to his professional development and is the foundation of Control Concepts.

Steve began his career with Crestron Electronics in 1993 as a Systems Engineer. In more than three years at Crestron, he developed both technically and professionally. While working on two of the largest Crestron projects at the time, Steve learned the value of organization, time management, communication, and professionalism, all qualities which have proven to be essential building blocks of his career. Additionally, the relationships that were formed and the knowledge gained, throughout Steve’s tenure at Crestron, have provided him with lasting benefit throughout the years.

In 1997, Steve acted on his entrepreneurial inclination to start an independent programming company at a time when independent programmers were not mainstream. Although he faced a number of challenges in getting established, the detailed approach, personal attention, and reliable service that Steve holds in high regard propelled Control Concepts to steady growth and the establishment of a loyal following.

Control Concepts now has many sustained customer relationships. CCI has worked with corporations and educational institutions to establish user interface standards and best practices for control system functionality that have been implemented organization-wide. These client partnerships are the essence of why Control Concepts was established.

It is Steve’s vision, leadership, passion for excellence and personality that have been the key elements in his professional growth and have been a driving factor behind his success. He takes pride in the reputation he has built for himself and the company, and the ongoing, beneficial relationships that he has developed with his team, his clients and his partners.

Steve is a graduate of Lehigh University with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering.

Ken Danner, Senior Engineer

Ken specializes in the implementation and optimization of large control system integration projects for educational and corporate facilities at CCI. Some of his most notable achievements include developing and maintaining functionality consistencies and user interface design standards, including remote room monitoring capabilities for multi-room facilities. He has led the implementation of these practices over many years with various integrators.

In addition, Ken has tackled such difficult systems as quad-divisible rooms and codec farms with dynamically assignable touchpanel capabilities. His knack for keeping cool under pressure, managing expectations, and dealing with the unexpected have led to cultivation of many successful customer relationships.

Ken started his career in control system programming in 2003 after obtaining a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Rutgers College of Engineering. He became a Crestron Certified programmer as well as an AMX ACE Expert within his first year and has gone on to become a Crestron Silver Level Master Programmer. In addition to his programming duties, Ken utilizes his computer technology background to manage and maintain the company’s server and corporate network environment.

Mike Korinko, Senior Engineer

Mike’s extensive knowledge and achievement with Crestron control system programming has been built thorough hard work, dedication, and experience. His ability to anticipate situations, quickly assess challenges, and focus on identifying the root of a problem have been the cornerstones of his success.

Through his commitment and daily work on complex projects and critical situations at CCI, Mike has successfully established relationships with many long-term partners. His ability to diagnose and troubleshoot situations, both onsite and remotely, have led to many successful outcomes and saved valuable time for our clients. Additionally, Mike has developed code modules for internal use by our technical team to simplify project implementation, improve quality, and provide value-added features for our customers.

Mike joined the Control Concepts team in 2004 with over 15 years experience in the AV industry working exclusively with control systems. He began his career with Crestron Electronics where he worked as a Systems Programmer and a Customer Support Engineer. He has successfully completed hundreds of projects in the commercial, education and residential markets.
